Kubernetes 專案會為最近的三個次要版本（1.35、1.34、 1.33）維護發行分支。 Kubernetes 1.19 及更新版本提供大約 1 年的修補版本支援。 Kubernetes 1.18 及更舊版本則提供大約 9 個月的修補版本支援。
Kubernetes 的版本號格式為 x.y.z， 其中 x 是主要版本，y 是次要版本，z 是修補版本，遵循語意化版本控制（Semantic Versioning）的規範。
